To absorb a spill you can use absorbents made from Polypropylene, which are lightweight. These absorbents are also highly effective at containing the radius of spills. Some are available in a tubular cushion form, which can be wrapped around barrels or placed underneath doors for spill protection.

Controlling spills can prevent highly flammable liquids from catching fire and hazardous chemicals from coming in contact with skin. This aspect of spill control is extremely important because you could put many employees at risk or cause serious injury and death if these chemicals are not properly controlled. One way to prevent exposure to chemicals is by providing employees with protective clothing, masks, or respirators.

For employees who handle hazardous materials, you should consider providing protective gloves in addition to protective clothing. You can choose from latex or nitrile gloves. Latex gloves are very strong and comfortable, but they can present allergy issues. Nitrile gloves are also strong and protective. While they are not as comfortable to wear as latex gloves, they do not present potential allergy problems for employees.
